“Do your little bit of good where you are;
it’s those little bits of good put together
that overwhelm the world.”
― Desmond Tutu
Amazing things happen in our lives when we plant kindness. One little act of kindness can generate much kindness in the lives of all who surround us. This marvelous and wonderful BUT it gets better than just the circle in which we live. Imagine yourself with your friends and family daily practicing kindness. Now imagine what happens when they each go out into the World and share that seed of kindness you have sown. The harvest grows bigger! And as each person they have sown a seed of kindness soon kindness in a really big way is the harvest that has the power to save our World and re-create a new way of being.
“Tenderness and kindness
are not signs of weakness and despair,
but manifestations of strength and resolution.”
― Kahlil Gibran
We are daily given the choice in all our actions to be kind. With our kindness we can manifest more and more kindness throughout the world demonstrating our strength and resolution. One of the amazing things I have noticed in my life is that the more I make purposeful efforts to be kind and be tender, the better my life becomes. More importantly the people in my because of my increased efforts in kindness begin to be more kind and more aware of our innate humanity toward kindness.
How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single minute
before starting to improve the world. —Anne Frank
Now is the time our world needs more kindness. It is so easy to be kind and so easy to spread that kindness around us. As a stone dropped into a pond ripples out covering the pond, so too kindness from one person reaches out to those around them and from those people to more and more circles covering our Earth. Imagine a world that is essentially kind. That’s where I want to live. I’m planting my seeds every day!
Deeds of kindness are equal in weight
to all the commandments. ~The Talmud
